Owen Sound Students: Enter this contest to be Chief For a Day!

The Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services Department in conjunction with McDonalds Walmart location and the Fire Marshals Fire Safety Council is proud to announce the "Fire Chief for a Day" contest. One lucky elementary school student--kindergarten to grade 8--will be Fire Chief for a day during the month of November.

Ballots will be given to Owen Sound elementary school students in September. To be eligible to win, ballots must be returned to their school no later than the end of October for a chance to win. The winner will be picked during the first week of November.

The lucky winner will spend the day at the Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services Department headquarters. The day includes learning about fire safety and the duties of a fire fighter, plus lunch at McDonalds Walmart on McHappy Day, too!

The contest is open to Owen Sound elementary school students only.
